Sunset Kendwa offers a wide range of brightly decorated traditional 76 rooms and bungalows, as well as facilities to help ease into Zanzibar’s relaxed pace of life. There is something to suit all budgets, from deluxe air-conditioned beach bungalows to intimate cliff-side apartments. The type of rooms that we have are Deluxe Beach Bungalows found in the Beach side area, Courtyard Rooms which are in the Cliff side area and Apartment rooms which are in the Cliff side area as well. Make yourself at home in one of the air-conditioned rooms or bungalows or in the non-air-conditioned bungalows. Rooms have private balconies. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms have showers and hair dryers. Also, our rooms are self-contained, fitted with hot shower, electronic safe deposit box, fridge and Zanzibar bed.

Sunset Kendwa offers a variety of activities from snorkelling, sailing and scuba diving for all experience levels. We also have a beach volleyball area and the most perfect beach for swimming.

Scuba Do Zanzibar, our onsite 5 star PADI Dive Centre, offer a variety of activities from snorkelling, sailing and scuba diving for all experience levels. We also have a beach volleyball area and the most perfect beach for swimming. The dive centre crew are happy to advise you on daily tide times and other activities to do in the area.

The beach side sunset restaurant has a diverse menu offering delicious meals all made with the freshest ingredients ranging from Swahili specialities to western favourites. Our Mnazi Beach Bar and Shisha lounge are ideal locations for you to sip a cocktail while gazing out at a spectacular sunset over the Indian Ocean.

There is not really a bad or good time to go, but almost anytime it suits you. However there are two main seasons in Zanzibar. A High or Standard season is usually between June and March when you can expect Zanzibar to be very popular among worldwide tourists. Rainy season is usually during April and May when the heavy, but short rains can often occur, but it’s also the season when it’s the least crowded.
