Explore the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Iberian Peninsula on this immersive 8-night voyage around Portugal and Spain.
We embark from Lisbon, one of the world’s oldest cities, before sailing overnight for Portimao in Portugal’s sunny southern Algarve region. Spend a day at the beach and search out some super-fresh seafood to pair with a glass of bubbly Vinho Verde. Next, set your sights on Seville, whose rich history, excellent wine and tapas we’ll enjoy for two days and an overnight.
On a late stay in Gibraltar, take the cable car to The Upper Rock and on the streets below, meander through dozens of British stores and pubs. It’s a marvel you’re just a stone’s throw away from Spain. Make for Malaga and explore this adorable city on the Costa Del Sol whose artistic heritage is defined by Pablo Picasso.
After a day at sea, overnight in vibrant Valencia. Tour its impressive Gothic monuments and palaces, and City of Arts & Sciences, then seek out the perfect paella for dinner. Last on the itinerary is Barcelona. Marvel at Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, ramble down the always lively La Rambla and soak up every last bit of this magical region.
Start your cruise in Lisbon, Portugal on 9th April 2021 (other dates might be available on request). You will stop in Portimao, Seville, Gibraltar, Malaga and Valencia. The cruise ends in Barcelona, Spain on 17th April 2021.

One of the oldest cities in the world, Lisbon is rich in architecture and criss-crossed by monument-studded grand boulevards. Must-sees include the church of Igreja de Sao Vicente de Fora, which dates back to the 12th century; Musee Calouste Gulbenkian, one of Europe’s leading fine arts museums; and Torre de Belém, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous monuments in Portugal.
What could be better than the breathtaking scenery of Portimão? This, maybe: the Autodromo Algarve Racing School puts you behind the wheel on a F1 track. Not your style? Try Praia Grande—a stunning beach complete with a 16th century castle. Want more? Tour an award-winning winery, tee off at a championship golf course, or dine on the freshest seafood you’ve ever tasted. What could be better?
Did you know? Seville is credited with the invention of tapas. Join in with the locals as they graze from bar to bar, making an entire meal out of the experience. The city also has a rich history evident in its landmarks. The Alcazar, the main palace, is exquisitely decorated in Moorish style, with themed gardens laid out in terraces. All in all an abundance of riches for all those who come to call.
Málaga is like a beautiful work of art. And it’s no wonder considering, considering it was the birthplace of Picasso. You’ll find a museum commemorating his birth here, which is a must-visit destination for art fans. Elsewhere, be sure to spend some time in the city’s Alcazaba, a 11th-century citadel that is home to three palaces, beautiful gardens, and opulent fountains.
Marvel at the stunning mix of innovative architecture and gothic beauty when you visit Valencia. This Spanish city is home to many avant-garde buildings, including the breathtaking City of Arts and Sciences cultural complex. Elsewhere, palaces and mansions constructed in the 15th century dot the cityscape, while The Silk Exchange resembles a medieval fortress housing many mysterious carvings.
Barcelona is a cosmopolitan masterpiece. With a history rich in art and architecture, medieval, Gothic, and modern influences can be seen all over the city. Start at the waterfront and stroll up the shady, tree-lined Las Ramblas boulevard and discover some of the city’s best shopping and bustling cafes.
