Caves to visit in Kefalonia

Drogarati Cave is located near the village of Katapodata, a few km away from the village of Sami. It contains impressive stalactites and stalagmites, more than 10,000 years old. Melissani Cave is located near Sami, discovered during the 1953 earthquake, when part of the roof fell down.
