Palma de Mallorca is the vibrant capital, stylish and intimate, yet bursting with life. Half of the island’s population lives in this lively city all year round. Palma is a city of modern, hotel chains and flashy shops. On the other hand is dated and still retains much of the old architecture, with the Old Town having narrow streets, and showing the restored cathedral standing proud in the centre of town.
Porto Cristo is a natural harbour and charming little fishing town in the eastern region of Mallorca. But today you can still see working fishing boats in the harbour, alongside with speedboats and yachts. In short, Porto Cristo is quiet and does not have many activities, so is best for relaxed holidays and is great for families.
