Skiing, snowboarding and sledging

Sledging: Arosa has a total of 4.7 kilometres of sledge runs, which are in the slope map of Arosa Lenzerheide. You will find the perfect tobogganing run at night in Arosa. The toboggan runs are partially illuminated. But, night sledding is best combined with a hearty fondue made from local Alpine cheese in the mountain restaurant. Also, in Arosa and Lenzerheide they have night sledding once a week, on Thursday evening during the winter season.
Cross-Country Skiing: In Arosa and surroundings you have a diverse network of cross-country trails with 86 kilometres of double marked trails. Whether you prefer classic or skate skiing, sporting thrills are guaranteed. Cross country participant has the possibility to experience the winter season from a peaceful self-propelled standpoint, even for those cross-country guests who want to participate in the night trail (4 km long). This illuminated night trail is waiting for night owls in the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide and is open and lit daily between 05.00 and 09.00 pm.

Winter hiking: Arosa mountains offer a good choice for your dream tour. There are various routes and tours with difficulty level for each. Discover Arosa by foot on one of the magnificent hiking trails. Therefore, Arosa offers over 60 km of hiking trails which lead through snow covered forests.

Further, eight different courses wait for you at the Arosa Rope Park. This is a unique, fun and challenging sport in Switzerland. There are 7 courses for children and adults. Children have their own courses, one for kids between 4 and 9 years old and one for kids from 6 to 9 years old, with their own continuous safety system. Therefore this way, the children can safely climb from tree to tree.
Other summer activities
Fishing: Visitors can’t find a better place to fish than at a natural lake in the Swiss Alps. Arosa offers a variety of fishing locations. Certainly, you can rent rowing boats for fishing. Fishing season at the Obersee and Untersee lakes runs from 1 May to 15 October 5.00am to 10.00pm daily (subject to modification). Fishing at swimming areas is not allowed.
