WELCOME TO MANYARA WILDLIFE SAFARI CAMP, MTO wa MBU
Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp is able to offer the most luxurious safari accommodations while remaining true to the natural element of the safari experience. Our camp comprises of ten luxurious canvas tents and sixteen self-contained cottages, all with private balconies overlooking the real Africa, majestic, unfiltered and unadorned. Our Honeymoon suite is particularly impressive, with two private viewing decks, Jacuzzi bathtub and King Size bed with rich furnishings including luxury bathrobes.
Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp is set in the exclusive wilderness surrounded by rugged hills of the rift valley escarpment. The Camp lies in gentle plain slope against a backdrop of brushwood hills. Ten authentic tents and sixteen Cottages are pegged complete with modern necessities in the most enchanting wilderness and beauty within the view of Manyara National Park and Lake Manyara.
ACCESS
The camp operates throughout the year, including the best period for wildlife spotting as well as bird watching. The entrance to the camp is via a pathway that leads through our lounge area, opening onto views of the fringes of the Hills and the Lake Manyara, which are within the grounds of Manyara National Park.
The experience of staying at Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp is fully focused on viewing, especially the Lions, giraffe, elephants and other wild animals. The safari starts in the early morning hours and guest are free to enjoy the full day safari as per the entry passes. Night Safaris are also available at Lake Manyara National Park and guests need to book prior in advance for the same services.
ACCOMMODATION and ROOM FACILITIES
The ethnic setting of the tents and cottages extend the guest to have an open experience of a wilderness camp. Each tents and cottages are identical in designs and amenities offered. Tents and Cottages are expansively designed beneath a traditional roofing of “Nyazi” and partitions with the interior walls, separating bathroom includes showers with hot & cold water and bedroom area which is fitted with a king-size or twin or triple bed flanked by twin side tables with lamps. Furniture’s are ethnic and obtrusive, imitating the travelling camps of old.
ROOM SERVICE AND OTHER GUEST SERVICE FACILITIES
Room Service is available 24 hours. Guests can use a Currency Exchange with prior arrangement, Laundry and a Wake-up service. Business sized desk with well-lit work area are available in the rooms. Tea making facility 24/7 available in the restaurant area. Personalised wake-up and child care available upon request.
Electricity is 220 volts. During the winter months of July and August, warm cloths will be required, particularly in the mornings and evenings. Winter temperature can range from a high of 23° Celsius to an overnight low of 10° Celsius. During the hot summer months, it is recommended that guests wear light, yet conservative attire. On safari in the park, subdued natural colors such as khaki, brown and beige are appropriate. The heavy rain falls during the months of April and May and short rain falls during November, December and may be during January as well.
RECREATION
For recreational and relaxation purposes, you can enjoy the beautiful full functional Spa facilities or use the infinity swimming pool overlooking lake Manyara flood plain. You can hire a bicycle and go in tours in the area.
RESTAURANT AND BAR
ESERIAN: Our restaurant is softly-lit by lamps and serves continental classics and contemporary Indian and traditional dishes with vegetables and herbs grown from the local villages.
HAKUNA MATATA BAR: Bar serves a very good range of spirits, wines and cocktails. Sip your drink near the fire place area or upper lounge area with a splendid view of Lake Manyara.
THE LOUNGE AND TV ROOM: Guest can enjoy, relax and watch TV with all the international channels in the upper floor of our Dining area with a splendid view of the Manyara National Park and Lake Manyara.
