WELCOME TO FANAKA LODGE, MTO wa MBU
Fanaka Lodge and Campsite is located very close to the small but unique Lake Manyara National Park and offers nature and safari lovers a quiet retreat and a relaxation oasis in this scenic part of Northern Tanzania. The lodge is a very good choice for the budget travellers regardless they are seeking adventure coming with their backpacks or they are in groups of friends or as a family.
ACCESS
Fanaka Lodge is situated at a distance of 130 km from Arusha in a small town called Mto wa Mbu, before the entrance gate to Lake Manyara National Park at the foot of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.
ROOM FEATURES AND FACILITIES
There are in total 22 rooms categorised into:
STANDARD ROOMS which are 18 rooms: 3 rooms are with single bed (each with 1 medium size bed ), 8 rooms are with double bed (each with 1 king size bed), 5 rooms are with Twin beds and 2 rooms are Triple with 3 beds.
ORDINARY ROOMS which are 4 rooms, each with 2 medium beds.
Each room has Private Toilet, Shower, Hot water, Wi-Fi and with ceiling or table fans. Seven (7) rooms are connected with television sets while two (2) rooms have outside balcony.
KITCHEN
There is a kitchen adjacent to the restaurant to serve Lodge guests. It has full cooking equipment and provisions. There are also three self catering kitchens with necessary facilities of water, wardrobes, chairs and tables. All these kitchens meet the conditions and rules set by Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority ( T.F.D.A).
RESTAURANT AND BAR
There are two bars at the camp find one very close to restaurant and the other situated in a view to see Manyara escarpment and natural vegetation. Arranged live music and traditional dances provide musical and artistic entertainment. The bar has an array of exciting tropical cocktails as well as cool thirst quenching drinks. There is a main restaurant enough for 50 to 60 people to be served together and There are several areas to serve food to guests according to numbers and preference. One such good area is the View Point place overlooking the Great Rift Valley. In our lodge we have a bar which is besides the main restaurant where various types of hard and soft drinks are served.
RECREATION
A swimming pool is available for free to use by guests at own convenience. Facilities at the swimming pool include changing and shower rooms, wash rooms, umbrellas, beds, chairs and tables.
Also we can arrange Evening entertainment, Cycling tours, Hiking, Bicycle rental (additional charge).
OTHER FACILITIES
There is a shop, enough for necessary provisions and a curio shop. Public wash rooms are located at all needy places for convenience. The gardens are exclusive, spacious and available for you to explore. There is also spacious car parking available.
