PRISON ISLAND
Depart around in the morning to Prison Island, it takes approximately 30 minutes to get there by boat from Stone Town. The prison on this island was built in 1893, which was later used as a quarantine hospital. Apart from the prison ruins you can also see the giant tortoises, some of which are over 100 years old. It is also a way to see Stone Town from the sea.
You will be serve some snack and drinks. Free time for sunbathing and swimming. Excellent snorkelling around the island. Around midday, embark for the pristine setting and pleasures of an idyllic and almost desert sand bank cast away amidst crystal-clear aquamarine waters. Here you” be served the lunch. You will be taken to a close sandbank surrounded by crystalline water, the ideal trip to relax and snorkel to discover treasures of Indian Ocean. Picnic lunch, fruits and beverages will be served on this pristine beach.
Soak up the sun, go for refreshing dips and snorkel leisurely around, immersed in the natural splendour of the tropical marine world with its amazing array of coloured coral and fish. Just revel in a sheer moment out of this world, out of time. You will feel as close as can be to paradise. Don’t miss this beautiful experience!
Timing: Full day excursion (Lunch is included) that normally starts in the morning around 8 am, however you will be further communicated the exact time.
What to take with you: walking shoes, swimming costume, sun cream, towel, hat, photo camera and your good mood.
