Come and join our experienced guide for a full day visit. You will be introduced to the historic charms of old Stone Town. In the early 19th century, under the rule of Omani Arabs, Zanzibar was East Africa’s major slave trading hub strategically located between the mainland and their final destinations, namely Oman and Persia, Seychelles and Mauritius.
In this tour, you will walk together with your guide, down Zanzibar’s memory lane. The excursion incorporates a visit to the bustling bazaars, the past slave market and chambers, the National museum, the House of Wonders, the Old fort, Sultan’s palace as well as cathedrals and countless mosques.
Stop for lunch in a local restaurant and enjoying the delicious dishes in front of the ocean (main course, dessert & 1 soft drink). Then walk around the narrow streets of Stone Town where most of the houses date back more than 150 years for some shopping and enjoying the arts of the local craftsmen. Visit also a local bakery, door carvers and antiques shops.
Timing: Full day excursion (Lunch is included) that normally starts in the morning around 9 am, however you will be further communicated the exact time.
What to take with you: some money if you want to buy souvenirs, walking shoes, hat, photo camera and your good mood.
